Complementary Therapy

I am qualified nurse, clinical aromatherapist, reflexologist, homeopath and beauty therapist. I hold a current membership to each of the above governing bodies, they provide Codes of practice and Ethical Guidelines.
I have taken a course in Counselling Skills and have a teaching qualification. My Reiki 1 and 2 training uses the Usui system of healing. My BSc(Hons) in Homeopathy has lead to a Specialist Nurse Practitioner qualification in Homeopathy. Within all the centres I carry out group work and 1-1 sessions using the following therapies.

Clinical Aromatherapy

"The controlled use of essential oils to promote and maintain well-being". The treatments are HOLISTIC taking the body, mind and spirit into consideration and helps to encourage the bodies own natural healing powers. Aromatherapy can be used with massage to promote relaxation, ease muscle tension, renew energy and stimulate the circulation. The essential oils can also be used in compresses for local applications, inhalations for respiratory complaints and in baths for relaxation and muscular aches.

Reflexology

Reflexology or Zone Therapy is an ancient non-invasive form of healing. It is a HOLISTIC therapy in which the whole body is treated not just the symptoms. The therapist applies pressure with the fingers and thumbs to the reflex points on the soles of the feet or palms of hands to stimulate them and clear the reflexes of any ‘blockage’ which can cause the bodies energy to slow or stagnate. Reflexology is suitable and safe from Newborn to Elderly.

Homeopathy

At just over 200 years old this is a fairly new therapy, that works on the principle that ‘like cures like’, an illness will be treated with a substance that could produce similar symptoms in a healthy person. Homeopathic remedies are given in highly diluted forms and are safe for all to use.

Baby Massage

Can be introduced to babies at any age, preferably before they can crawl! Baby massage can enhance the bonding between parent(s) and baby, giving one to one contact, reassurance and time to calm both parent and baby. It can help with colic, wind and other digestive problems and may increase the child’s resistance to coughs and colds. Babies who feel trust and confidence through touch from their parents are more likely to develop confidence and independence from an early age.
